Our History

Our first meeting as a Chamber of Commerce was held on December 6, 1989, with representation from 29 businesses from the Pigeon Lake area. Since that time our chamber has become Regional and our membership has increased to 118 businesses and individual members and continues to grow in numbers enabling us to take a more active part in our community. Our membership covers a wide area, which includes members from both sides of Pigeon Lake, Thorsby, Millet, Nisku, Edmonton, Bluffton, Wetaskiwin, Winfield and Calgary.

Currently the Pigeon Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce looks forward to increasing our membership and to promote the commercial, industrial, social and civic interests of our community. The chamber is proud to say that they have won the Chamber of the Year Award three years 1998, 2003 and 2004.

Pigeon Lake Regional Chamber Of Commerce is now the proud owners of the Area Fun Map- (50,000 copies for distribution throughout Alberta, BC and Montana - aimed at attracting increased tourism to our Region.)
